To watch the construction of a very tall building, or a house, a road, a bridge, or even machinery, has a built-in fascination about how it all comes together.
In photographing the stages of the construction, I’m telling a visual story, something that can be seen over and over again, long after the construction is finished. The photography shows the beauty and design that’s been created, but also shows how it came together ? the wiring and plumbing inside the walls, the layers of a road, the metal skeleton of a bridge.
Lastly, and just as important, is photographing the people who do the work. The ones that make it all happen. It’s more than just a job and sweat. It is the smiles and pride of being part of something that will be around for along time.
It’s another story to capture ? its own study in photography.
